The Great Fire of 2009

Early Tuesday morning, on May 19th, my mother's condo caught fire. It was absolutely incredible that everyone made it out alive and that there was no more damage. My mom's condo was one above and one over from the orgin of the fire. Her place only suffered water damage and smells like smoke. But praise the Lord, there was no fire damage. Currently she is displaced from her house and could be for another week or so, due to the intense smoke smell. She is doing well, but initially was a bit shook up.

Personally, it made me realize how quickly your life can change. If she had not woke up and smelt smoke, or if the alarm didn't go off, this could have turned out very different. I am very grateful to God that my mom is alive and well, that she is not injured and that her condo is in great shape. Even her insurance agent said, "someone was watching over you!" Praise the Lord!
