A God of Justice
A scared little girl, hidden under layers of clothes.
Her identity has changed to the gender that hurt her.
If she can be a man, maybe they won't hurt her.
As a man, she is tough. She can fight the injustice.
She can scare the rapist, Stand-up against the violence.
But as a female, she is scared. She cowers in the corner.
Re-living every horrendous moment. Her babysitter; a stranger.
Both violated her core and raped her of her gender.
The man she loved was murdered, she bares his name on her back.
Injustices are numerous, the pain is immense.
Yet, laughter still ensues. I see a girl with hope.
She holds on to what's around her neck; a cross that bears Jesus-
That's what she believes in. A God that brings justice.
