So is this what its like to be 36?

This weekend Dan and I had a "mom and dad" moment with two of our youth. It was the strangest thing ever, to work as a team to bring compassion and disappointment and discipline to our "kids." As hard as the situation was to deal with, i felt incredibly encouraged to know that the two of us can work together in stressful situations. It wasn't good cop, bad cop, but a mutual agreement to work together to rectify the situation as best we could. But the best part was being able to lift our "kids" up before God and place them before the cross. Seriously, there is nothing better than that.
